Apology, Update, Reflection & Declaration

For the last couple of months I have found refuge in the warmth of the Sunshine state while it seems the rest of the country has been freezing their whiskers off. But first my friends and supporters I have to apologize for being such a lame pal. I haven’t been updating, not for lack of thoughts or travels but just simply taking a break. This is no excuse I know but it’s mine.

Taking time off got me thinking about how my life has changed so drastically in the last 4 months and who I really wanted to be in 2014. Who was this person I was creating? Thoughts like if I died what would my family be able to tell about me. If they searched my home, the WNDRLST, what would they know about me. Isolation forces self reflection, whether you want it or not. During New Years I came across a great video that’s words have haunted me to no end. “The richest place in the world is the graveyard. In the graveyard we will find inventions that we were never exposed to, ideas and dreams that never became realities, hopes and aspirations that were never acted upon.” So it is in those words that I vow to stop being the laziest person I know and declare to be the man, professional and artists I want to be in 2014. ┬áRealizing I’m not just a commercial photographer anymore, but so many people know me for my airstream design and this journey. Not exactly what this defines me as but its my labels.

Patton and I enjoy the scenes of Florida, from shooting beautiful women in the Keys to kayaking the Everglades. Even new and old friends came out and graced our home while down here.  The last day I was day I was set to leave south Florida, after being told numerous times all the lots in the Keys were sold out I decided to make the call to a few just in case. As luck would have it one had an opening for an entire week! The time out on the islands were so special for me to have it as part of this trip as it is one of the 4 corners of the US.

travel_commercial_photographer_florida_brianbraunWill update soon. Head to Texas for work and exploration and then west to Grand Canyon and UTAH. Any recommendations on spots to see in that area?

The Question is what are you gonna do with your time, greatness is a lot of small things done well. Day after day. Work after Work. Obedience after obedience.

Be well go far
